Take control of you Habits

Until fairly recently there was little known how the brain can control your habits and how the subconscious mind can stop addictive habits. Now is the time to look at science and how the brain works to understand the urges for food or smoking and how to change your habits for good.

Turning off your desires

We know that the brain is constantly changing. The neuroplasticity of the brain allows focussed therapy to create new neural pathways with the same positive intention, to be able to change away from the unwanted habits. Without therapy, the brain uses neural pathways to trigger emotions, needs, pleasure and cravings which feed an addiction. The fusion of NLP and Hypnotherapy changes those responses by resetting the neural pathways through the subconscious mind, thereby giving a permanent change and an entirely different reaction to your addiction.

Your addiction maybe related to sugar, caffeine, food or indeed weight loss in cases of Bulimia and Anorexia. You could be addicted to smoking, gambling, alcohol, compulsive shopping/hoarding, or even gaming. No matter what the addiction is, when it begins to disrupt and control your life, it is time to KICK THE HABIT!

When exposed to any of the old triggers, the brain doesn’t automatically respond in the old way, because it will now respond in a new stronger and healthier manner following therapy. The very thing that causes the cravings and relapse now, actually reinforces the commitment to overcome the old addictive behaviour.
Based on what we know about the brain, the neuroplasticity and ability to change pathways, linked to your own commitment to approach your addictions and recover permanently and quickly.
Using newly discovered clinically accepted techniques and tools of the trade, I work with you to retrain and recondition your brain at a subconscious level. The brain is a supple, malleable organ and is as ready to unlearn old habits and take on new positive habits. The brain is capable of transforming, resetting and repairing its internal communications, allowing you to return to a better life.

Deal with stress in a different way
Some people use addiction as a way to deal with an internal problem, to mask pain, dampen down emotions, or to reduce stress and anxiety levels.
You may even notice that in the past, when you have tried other remedies [like going cold turkey] to overcome your addictive habit, that the urge/cravings just get stronger and your addiction worsens. This is your subconscious mind trying to keep you safe in your old coping strategy by controlling your addiction and has an effect on neuro-chemical dopamine release in the brain. Solution focussed fusion of NLP and Hypnotherapy reduces the stress and anxiety rather than being stuck in your old habits. It looks at the pictures in your mind, the sounds you hear internally and the emotions attached to the events in your life, which can all be changed to get you away from being ‘stuck’ in your old habits and move forward in your life in a much healthier way, both mentally and physically.
Today, the fusion of NLP/Hypnotherapy for addiction is a growing need. With this therapy we will work together for a new healthier way of living with a positive outcome. With your commitment, we will work on the ‘root’ cause of the issue and work with your receptive mind with your own control strategy for your new healthier lifestyle. Your mind is very receptive to change from the old habits to the new neural pathways, all it takes is someone to guide you along the path. Think about how much you are spending on addiction and how much you would save on a healthier lifestyle.
